Boarding at The Gnarly Dog is a healthy alternative to leaving your dog in a standard kennel. Instead of being cooped up all day while you’re on vacation, your dog will be playing with friends and getting all of the TLC they need from our staff. All boarding clients participate in our cage free daycare throughout the day. This insures they are ready for a good nights rest in their own private kennel when the day is done.
Boarding rates: $65 per night + tax
This includes a full day of daycare ($40) and the overnight fee ($25). For households with multiple dogs, you will receive a discount on the additional dog(s).

Boarding FAQs
Do I need to make a boarding reservation?
Yes, we do require reservations for overnight boarding. We highly suggest making a reservation as early as possible. In some cases, we can accommodate short-notice boarding, as long as your dog has passed the temperament test and is up-to-date on all the required vaccinations.
How do I make a boarding reservation?
To make a boarding reservation, you can contact us by e-mail or phone. Include the date of drop-off and date of pick-up. We will contact you to confirm any details. We require a credit card be left on file in order to make a reservation.
What if I am unable to schedule a temperament test before boarding?
We have out-of-state customers who are sometimes unable to schedule a temperament test before their stay with us. In this case, we will perform the temperament test upon the dog's arrival. We ask that you have a back-up plan and be available to retrieve your dog immediately should any issues occur. A credit card will still be required to hold your reservation, if your dog does not pass the temperament test you will still be responsible for the cost of 50% of the intended stay. It is up to you to trust that your dog will be well suited for a cage free environment, this includes being up to date on all required vaccinations. If we feel your dog is not a correct fit for our facility we have the right to cancel your reservation. Since we have held the space for you up until the evaluation we reserve the right to charge for 50% of the reserved time.
If my dog does not pass the temperament test, can they still board?
Sorry, but no. Because all boarding dogs also attend daycare during the day, it is required that they pass the temperament test and do well with other dogs. If a dog has not passed the temperament test, the dog cannot be allowed to board or attend daycare.
Does someone watch the dogs overnight?
There are 24/7 monitoring services including security and fire alarms. There are also cameras that are monitored each night to notify The Gnarly Dog staff if any issues develop during the night. After a long day of daycare and play, most dogs are too tired to cause trouble during the night.
