pack your pooch-case,

it's time for a sleepover!

It can be such a downer for you and your pup to be apart, but you can count on Gnarly Dog as a place where your dog can be with friends and get all the play and fun they need. All day long, your dog will be able to hang out and party with their buds at daycare. After 12 hours of fun, the party's over and your dog is ready for a big snooze in their own private kennel. During the night, we keep a watchful eye on our pups from our webcams. Our facility is also equipped with indoor heating and cooling, fire alarms, and security systems.

What is required for my dog to board?
  • Submit our online application

  • Pass a temperament evaluation

  • Provide proof of current vaccinations including Rabies, Distemper, & Bordetella

  • Plan in advance. Our kennels can fill up quickly, especially during holidays and weekends, so we suggest making your reservations early

What should you bring from home?
  • Your dog's regular food. We ask that food be labeled and portioned into zip-lock bags or air tight containers. If food is not portioned already, please supply instructions on how much food your dog needs and we will portion it for you. Example: Max, 2 cups AM and PM

  • Medication or supplements. Please provide secure packaging and written instructions for medicine administration.

  • A bed or blanket

We provide food bowls and water buckets for each boarding dog. For long stays, we recommend measuring out the amount of your dog's food per meal. Should a dog run out of food, we do offer our grain-free house kibble for $2.00 per feeding at the owner's expense.
boarding rates:$63 per night + tax

This includes a full day of daycare ($38) and the overnight fee ($25). For households with multiple dogs, you will receive a discount on the additional dog(s).

Do I need to make a boarding reservation?

Yes, we do require reservations for overnight boarding. We highly suggest making a reservation as early as possible. In some cases, we can accommodate short-notice boarding, as long as your dog has passed the temperament test and is up-to-date on all the required vaccinations.

How do I make a boarding reservation?

To make a boarding reservation, you can contact us by e-mail or phone. Include the date of drop-off and date of pick-up. We will contact you to confirm any details.  We require a credit card be left on file in order to make a reservation.

What if I am unable to schedule a temperament test before boarding?

We have out-of-state customers who are sometimes unable to schedule a temperament test before their stay with us. In this case, we will perform the temperament test upon the dog's arrival. We ask that you have a back-up plan and be available to retrieve your dog immediately should any issues occur.  A credit card will still be required to hold your reservation, if your dog does not pass the temperament test you will still be responsible for the cost of 50% of the intended stay. It is up to you to trust that your dog will be well suited for a cage free environment, this includes being up to date on all required vaccinations. If we feel your dog is not a correct fit for our facility we have the right to cancel your reservation. Since we have held the space for you up until the evaluation we reserve the right to charge for 50% of the reserved time.

If my dog does not pass the temperament test, can they still board?

Sorry, but no. Because all boarding dogs also attend daycare during the day, it is required that they pass the temperament test and do well with other dogs. If a dog has not passed the temperament test, the dog cannot be allowed to board or attend daycare.

Does someone watch the dogs overnight?

There are 24/7 monitoring services including security and fire alarms. There are also cameras that are monitored each night to notify The Gnarly Dog staff if any issues develop during the night. After a long day of daycare and play, most dogs are too tired to cause trouble during the night.
